Summary

Data Studio Guru takes a privacy-first approach to data collection. We collect only what is necessary to process transactions, deliver purchased products, and communicate with customers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Information We Collect

Purchase data — when you buy a template we collect your name, email address, and order details. This data is processed by Stripe and stored in our systems to fulfil your order and provide after-sales support.

Analytics data — with your consent, we collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4, including pages visited, links clicked, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

Marketing data — with your consent, we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel may collect information about your actions on this site, your IP address, and browser details, and may associate this with your Meta account if you are logged in. You can manage your ad preferences via Meta's Privacy Centre.

Technical data — our servers automatically log IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps. These logs are used for security monitoring and are not linked to individual identities.

Preferences — we store your theme preference (dsg-theme) locally in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and does not require consent.

• Review requests — 7 days after purchase we send a single review request email. You may opt out by contacting us.

• Analytics — to understand how visitors use the site and improve the product (Google Analytics 4, consent-gated).
• Advertising measurement — to evaluate the performance of paid advertising campaigns (Meta Pixel, consent-gated).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Data Retention

• Purchase records (name, email, order details) — 5 years, to comply with financial and tax record-keeping obligations
• Google Analytics data — 2 years (configured in the GA4 property settings)
• Meta Pixel data — As per Meta's data retention policies
• Review request records — 5 years, alongside the associated purchase record
• Server logs — 90 days
• Cookie consent records — Until consent is withdrawn or 2 years, whichever is sooner

International Data Transfers

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel transfer data to servers in the United States. These transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission. Stripe processes payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS and transfers data under appropriate safeguards.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Restriction — ask us to pause processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Children's Privacy
